School of Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Sciences is one of the earliest science departments established by Guangxi Normal University. In the past 76 years, the college has been based in Guangxi, nurturing talents and serving Bagui. It is an important foundation for training high-quality chemical talents and scientific and technological research in western minority areas, and it is committed to serving the economic and social development of Guangxi. The chemistry of Guangxi Normal University has entered into the top 1% of the global ESI rank. In the past five years, breakthroughs have been made in National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, the National Natural Science Foundation's key projects, the National Natural Science Foundation's major research and development of basic instruments, and the Ministry of Education's innovation team. He has won one Guangxi Science and Technology Special Contribution Award, three first prizes of Guangxi Natural Science Award, and two second prizes of Guangxi Natural Science Award and Science and Technology Progress Award. The College has the State Key Laboratory of “Medical Resources and Pharmaceutical Molecular Engineering” and the Guangxi Key Laboratory of “Low Carbon Energy Materials”. Scientific research and teaching instruments and equipment are complete, including high-resolution liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry, X-ray single crystal diffractometer and other large and medium-sized professional instruments and equipment, and more than 60 sets of software. The total value of the equipment is more than 60 million yuan, and literature and information are synchronized with the world. Chemistry undergraduate specialty is the national characteristic specialty and the pilot specialty of comprehensive reform of the Ministry of Education, and a national chemical experimental teaching demonstration center has been established.
