Southwest Ethnic Medicine Collaborative Innovation Center

The platform is centered on Guangxi Normal University, Guangxi University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Guangxi Medicinal Botanical Garden, Guangxi Teachers College, Institute of Materia Medica, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, Kunming Institute of Botany, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Shanghai Institute of Materia Medica, Chinese Academy of Sciences. The main synergy unit provides scientific and technological innovation support. Three companies, Guilin Sanjin Pharmaceutical Corp., Guilin Tianhe Pharmaceutical Corp. and Guilin Nanfang Corp., as the technical innovation support units, jointly set up a collaborative innovation center with the aim of solving the major scientific and technical problems faced by the development of the southwestern national pharmaceutical industry. The theory and the basic material science and technology of the Chinese medicine (complex)--chemical composition and pharmacodynamics mechanism and related major scientific and technical issues are comprehensively carried out with systematic innovation research in technology.

Utilizing the co-constructed innovation center platform, they confront the major needs of the development of the southwestern national pharmaceutical industry in China and are accelerating the integration of innovation power and resources, promoting the close integration of government, industry, research and research, which provides the main driving force for the development of the southwestern national pharmaceutical industry to promote the regional economy and social development. Based on the principle of sharing resources and sharing results, they are breaking the limitations of the existing personnel system, and by using the project as a link, forming a number of innovative research teams to form the core research force of the collaborative innovation center; focusing on the pharmacodynamic basis of the Southwestern national medicine and its prescriptions. The research on quality control methods and their modern pharmacological effects provide the main driving force for the development of the southwestern national pharmaceutical industry and promotes regional economic and social development.
