Introduction

Gui-Fa SU, PhD, full professor (Level 2), has been working in Guangxi Normal University since July 1987. He has been independently supervising graduate students since 1996, and was promoted to full professor in 1998. He won the second prize of Guangxi Science and Technology Progress (ranked first) in 2001, the 7th Guangxi Youth Science and Technology award in 2003. He was selected as one of the 100 young and middle-aged academic leaders in Guangxi Universities in 2003. In 2005, he was selected into the Ten-Hundred-Thousand Talents Project in new century funding program of Guangxi. In 2011, he was selected as PhD supervisor in organic chemistry. He won one second prize (2012, ranked first), two first prizes (ranked second, 2012, 2017) of excellent teaching achievements in Guangxi Universities. In 2014, he was awarded the Guangxi Distinguished Teacher of higher education. He has been the principal investigator over more than 20 research projects, published more than 150 academic papers, and 8 Chinese invention patents granted. As editor-in-chief, deputy editor, participated in the compilation and publication of 9 textbooks or learning guide books, including 4 national planned textbooks.
