The National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Ministry of Medicine, the Pharmaceutical Science Development Strategy Young Scholars Forum was held in our school.

On April 20th, the “National Natural Science Foundation of the Ministry of Medicine and the National Key Laboratory of Medicinal Resources Chemistry and Drug Molecular Engineering” sponsored by China Pharmaceutical University and the National Natural Science Foundation of China at Yucai Campus came to an end. Prof. He Zubin, President of the University, Professor Liang Hong, Vice Chairman of the Guangxi Association for Science and Technology, Director of the Key Laboratory, Professor Li Jia, Director of the Shanghai Institute of Materia Medica, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Prof. Kong Lingyi, Vice President of the China Pharmaceutical University, attended the ceremony and delivered speeches. Vice President Su Guifa also joined the forum.

At the opening ceremony of the forum, President He Zubin gave a welcome speech and warmly welcomed experts from universities and research institutes across the country, and introduced the development of our school. Thanks to the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the China National Pharmaceutical University. The forum of young scholars was handed over to our school. I believe that the convening of this forum will effectively enhance the level of research and pharmacy discipline construction in our pharmacy field.

Professor Liang Hong, vice chairman of the Guangxi Association for Science and Technology and director of the State Key Laboratory, introduced the development history and construction of the State Key Laboratory jointly built by the province and the province with a brief report, and thanked the brothers, universities and research institutes for their care and support for the laboratory.

Prof. Kong Lingyi, Vice President of China Pharmaceutical University, delivered an opening speech. Thanks to the efforts of our school to host the forum, I believe that the opportunity of this forum will be used to promote new drug creation and original innovation and promote high-level research results through exchanges and discussions among delegates. The production is very important.

This forum is to implement the spirit of important documents such as the "Several Opinions of the State Council on Comprehensively Strengthening Basic Scientific Research", adapt to the development trend of science and technology, support the implementation of the "Healthy China" strategy, and further promote the development of science fund reform. The representatives who participated in this forum are outstanding young talents in the field of pharmacology in China, including 13 national and young scholars from the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences and the 985, 211 and other institutions of higher learning. In the form of a report meeting and a symposium, the forum arranged three conference reports and 25 invitation reports, covering the theme of the forum, new drug creation and secondary development, discovery of natural drugs, artificial intelligence drug-assisted design, pharmaceutical formulation innovation, etc. content. Professor Chen Zhenfeng of our school was invited to give an academic report entitled “Opportunities and Challenges in Metal Drug Research”. Experts have discussed the development strategy of pharmacology from different perspectives through academic reports and provided an important foundation for the National Natural Science Foundation to refine major scientific issues in the field of pharmacology, to condense future development directions and key research areas, and to develop pharmaceutical development goals.

The heads of the School of Chemistry and Pharmacy, the key laboratory and related professional teachers and students attended the forum, listened to the wonderful reports of the experts on the spot, actively exchanged ideas with the participating experts, experienced the latest academic ideas of the experts, and learned the leading achievements of the pharmaceutical discipline. Through the platform of the forum, the cooperation and exchange between our university and our sister universities and research institutes has been strengthened, which is conducive to improving the research level of our pharmaceutical field and promoting the construction and development of pharmaceutical disciplines.
