On the morning of October 16, the "12th National Symposium on Organic Synthetic Chemistry of the Chinese Chemical Society" was held in Guilin. The opening ceremony of the conference was presided over by Prof. Aso Ming, a member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Director of the Organic Chemistry Committee of the Chinese Chemical Society, Researcher Jiang Biao, Associate Dean of the Shanghai Institute of Advanced Studies, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Professor Zhang Yan, Department of Chemistry Science, National Natural Science Foundation of China, and President of the University. Professor Liang Hong attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech.

The conference was hosted by the Chinese Chemical Society, jointly hosted by Guangxi Normal University and Guangxi Chemical and Chemical Society. The meeting was held from October 15th to 18th. The conference was a high-level, high-level academic conference. Nearly 500 representatives from all the computer synthesis fields in universities and research institutes across the country attended the conference. Among the participants, there were representatives from the Central Group Department and the technology as well as the winners of the Ministry of Science and Technology Innovation Leaders, the National Talents Project, the National Jieqing, the National Excellent Youth, the Ministry of Education, the New Century Excellent Talents Support Program, and the Ministry of the Ministry of Youth 50 people. Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Prof. Dai Lixin, Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Professor Ma Shengming, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Professor Tu Yongqiang of Lanzhou University, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Professor Feng Xiaoming of Sichuan University attended the conference. The conference received 284 academic papers, and the conference arranged 5 conference reports, 48 invitation reports and 16 oral reports. The second “Weishan Organic Synthesis Award” was also presented during the conference. Academician Tu Yongqiang of Lanzhou University, Professor Lei Xiaoguang of Peking University, and Professor Liu Bo of Sichuan University made academic reports.

With the theme of “Clean Organic Synthetic Chemistry”, this conference has in-depth exchanges of new achievements in new products, new reagents, new strategies and new concepts in organic synthesis in recent years. Researchers, graduate students and business people have provided opportunities to exchange new achievements, new ideas and new trends in the field of organic synthetic chemistry, and have built a platform to enhance mutual understanding and explore exchanges and cooperation.

The teachers of the relevant disciplines of our school, the graduate students, and the students of the experimental class of the chemical exclusive talents participated in the conference. The conference was held in Guilin, which promoted the construction and development of the chemistry discipline of our school. It provided a good opportunity for teachers and students of our school to listen to the academic achievements at the international frontier. This event will further stimulate college students to devote themselves to the cause of science, increase enthusiasm to further create a good atmosphere of respecting science, respecting knowledge and respecting talents, and injecting new impetus into the development of our School of Chemistry and Pharmacy.
