THIS COURSE AIMS TO DISSEMINATE THE CUTTING-EDGE RESEARCH ABOUT METALLODRUGS TO STATE KEY LABORATORY FOR CHEMISTRY AND MOLECULAR ENGINEERING OF MEDICINAL RESOURCES.

The exploration of metals in biology andmedicine is a fast-growing research area. Over the past decades, metallodrugshave attracted enormous attentions due to the important role of platinum-baseddrugs in cancer chemotherapy treatment. Many metal complexes with anticanceractivities have also been developed in this process comprised platinum complexeswith non-classical mechanisms, non-platinum complexes with different mechanismset al.  Metal-based chemoimmunotherapyhas recently gained extensive attention for its ability to activatetumor-specific immunity beyond direct cytotoxicity, which comprise alteredvisibility and susceptibility of cancer cells toward innate and adaptiveimmunity, as well as direct impacts on immune cell populations and the tumormicroenvironment. This workshop aims to share some insightful views and ideasin further development of metal-based anticancer drugs.
